How can I book tours & activities?
Our booking engine is located on the right sidebar of every tour and activity on our website. The first step in booking a tour you need to select your date, how many persons, any other extras and then click book. The next step is to fill out your basic information. Name, e-mail, phone number, nationality and where you want to be picked up.
The third step is to click “Pay”. Then you will be transferred to a secure payment site.
Can i change my date?
Please contact us as soon as possible and we will try our best to find you another date.
What currency do you use?
We use the Iceland Krona, which is our native currency. All charges on Iceland Advice website are made in Icelandic Króna (ISK). You can view an estimated price in a number of currencies to help you understand the approximate price in your preferred currency. Final payments are always conducted in Icelandic Króna (ISK).
Is there a booking fee?
No, there are no hidden fees! Prices shown on our website are exactly the same as if you were booking directly through the tour operator.
Cancellations & refund
If the tour has to be canceled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you will be refunded 100%.
More than two weeks prior tour departure: 90% refund. Less than two weeks and more than one week prior to tour departure: 75% refund. Less than one week and more than 72 hours prior to tour departure: 50% refund. Less than 72 hours and more than 48 hours prior to departure: 25% refund. Less than 48 hours prior to tour departure: Non-refundable.
If the booking was made for 10 or more people and cancellation is less than 72 hours and more than 48 hours prior to tour departure, 50% is refundable. If suppliers (third party) terms & conditions regarding your refund request are different than ours; the supplier’s policy are valid. Iceland Advice advises all clients to buy comprehensive travel insurance to minimal financial loss due to cancellation.
Found my tour for a lower price, how do i get a refund?
Iceland Advice Best Price Guarantee means if you book with us you get the best price available.
Bare in mind, our guarantee only applies to the same activity offered by the same Tour Operator in the same currency.
Requesting a refund from us is easy. Just contact us here and include the following in your message:
* Your name and booking reference number
* Proof of the lower price (receipt, website link, price list, flyers)
* Name of the tour operator or company.
We’ll take a look at the information you provided and refund you the difference.
How will I receive my ticket?
When you have completed the booking process, an electronic ticket will appear on your screen that you can print out. You will also get an e-mail with information on the tour you booked. This e-mail is also a voucher.
Pick up / Drop off
Pick-up and drop-off service are not always available. Either this service is available and free, available and costs extra or not available at all.
If available it is always visible in the booking engine. Pick-up and drop-off are then available from all major hotels and hostels in Reykjavik. Please contact us if your hotel is not on the list.
Please be ready at least 30 minutes before departure.
Do I need my passport with me on tours & activities?
No, you don’t need your passport with you on our tours & activities.
Note: A valid driver’s license is required for the driver when taking a snowmobile tour.
What to wear?
Weather in Iceland is very unpredictable. For the summer season, we recommend bringing a light rain jacket and water friendly shoes.
For winter season we recommend you bring a warm jacket, good shoes, cap or a hat and gloves. Leggings under jeans/pants is also not a bad idea to tackle sudden changes in weather.
You can never bring too many layers when traveling to Iceland. It is better to be safe than sorry. 🙂
Are meals included?
Meals and refreshments are usually not included. In case it is, you will see it under tour details in all our tours & activities.
