Tour Description – Fjords & Into The Glacier

The Fjords & into the glacier tour will take your breath away at each stop!

Visit Iceland’s amazing new attraction: the man-made ice caves dug into Europe’s second largest glacier, Langjokull. From Husafell, hop on the special glacier vehicles and dive inside the surreal entrails of the Ice Cap Glacier. There, you will witness the effects of global warming as well as Iceland’s seismic history. Embark this magical journey with an experienced and knowledgeable guide through the blue ice corridors.

You will also discover the highest-flow hot springs of Europe at Deildartunguhver and get close to bubbling water; as well as the cold blue water of Hraunfossar waterfall running down through lava fields.

On the way back you will be taken back in time at Hvalfjordur where the British and Americans established a settlement during World War II. This stunning fjord also hosts an old whale factory, relic of the Icelandic whale hunting past.

  1. Outstanding trip "into the Glacier"!

Bogi and his friends did a great job guiding a group of international lawyers “into the Glacier” in Iceland. They were very knowledgeable about the area and the country in general. I thought they were playing a trick on us by having us eat fermented shark, but it turns out to be an Icelandic tradition, although not one I will take home!

  2. Epic experience

Once in a lifetime experience i would say! Never experienced anything like it before. We had a wonderful day on the glacier. The guide was very fun and gave us a lot of insights about Iceland.

  3. Amazing!

Just an incredible experience! LOVED IT.

  4. A spectacular tour of a spectacular country

A unique and imaginative tour showcasing some of the most spectacular sites in Iceland (the walking tour inside the Langjokull Glacier is unmissable!). The organisers were flexible and quick to adapt the itinerary to suit the changing weather conditions. Aukni and Bjorn were excellent guides, giving plenty of insight into local history and culture.
