  1. Climbing through the ice tube with ropes, knowing that it was melting as we were standing on the ice was a concept that was blowing my mind.

This tour was one of the highlights of our family trip to Iceland. It was an adventure that was very easily doable. The guide was funny, fun , knowledgable and efficient. So grateful that we had this experience. It will be a memory that I will always remember.

  2. My wife and I had a wonderful time on this day. The ice cave was really enjoyable and the groups are small that make this experience much more personal. I took wonderful photos that I show almost everyone in my family. I do not regret going on this tour one bit. The guide was extremely knowledgable and had a great sense of humour. Cannot recommend this tour highly enough

  3. Fantastic experience

The katla tour was just incredible. The guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate. Told us about the history of the area. We also got to ride super jeep for the first time ever and the ice caves are so beautiful! Highly suggest this tour.

  4. Great tour from Vik

We booked this tour because our Ice Cave Tour at the Glacier Lagoon got cancelled due to warm weather and the cave being flooded. We were staying in Vik and therefore this one was perfect for us.

We got picked up at the gas station and climbed into a Super Jeep. And the fun began. I had no idea that driving in a Super Jeep could be so thrilling. We had a super nice and fun guide. Who had informative and interesting stories to tell about Iceland and the glacier.

We went off the main street to get to the glacier and drove for about an hour before we reached the ice cave. The weather was not very good but we still enjoyed the impressive ice formation and saw two caves.

On our way back we stopped at the Black Beach and had another fun drive in the Super Jeep.

I can definitely recommend this trip. You might find more impressive ice caves at other locations, but when you’re staying in Reykjavik or Vik this is probably the most doable tour and a lot of fun.

Again, our guide obviously loved his job and that really was something we all could feel. We had a great time.
