Tour Description

Your day begins at your pre-selected pick-up location, where your professional driver guide for the day will pick you up between 8:30-8:50. You then head along the South Coast toward the scenic town of Vík, with mountains, waterfalls, and glaciers as your backdrop. There, you will take a short break before you go off the paved road and travel to the Secret Ice Cave location. The drive from Vík can take between 45-60 minutes, depending on the road and weather conditions.

Once there, you will spend approx. 1-1.5 hrs exploring the cave and its surroundings. Come prepared for being outdoors during that time and to take a light walk from the vehicle to the cave and back.

After you have thoroughly explored the cave and captured the perfect photo, you will start to head back to Reykjavík. Again, you will stop in Vík for a quick bathroom break. On the way back, you will also make a stop at the picturesque Skógafoss waterfall. Expect an arrival time in Reykjavík of 7:30 pm.

  1. The Amazing Secret Ice Cave Tour

Experience was great! Tour guides were caring, amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. Very glad that we went on the tour! Best to call the company and ask for information before booking as they may suggest a more suitable day to go to the ice caves due to weather conditions. Overall 10/10! 🙂
